So Fashion Week in New York officially ended yesterday so now, I will give my final insights on the fashions coming up for Fall 2009. So, basically, what did I see and think about this?
Victorian-Influence
I quite like the fact that we're being transported back to Victorian-Era England and we get very classy, flirty, sophisticated and fun fashions. I really love this influence. It's very lovely and girly.
Structure
I loved the mix of structure mixed with free, unstructured things. It's just a great juxtaposition and to have the balance, makes things look very well put together and thought out.
Baggy Dresses
There were lot of shapeless and baggy dresses. Granted, they looks fine if they were cinched at the waist to give it a shape, but otherwise, it just looked like a sack.
Colors
So, color wise, there are a lot of options. I saw a lot of dreary colors, but thankfully, I saw a lot of bright colors, too. I saw a lot of rich colors that I'm looking forward to adding to my closet.
Basically, there are a lot of options out there for this fall. There are options for every style and every personality, so hopefully, there will be great contributions to our closets coming up soon!
